ISO9001 certification
Since august 2015 the Protronic GmbH is ISO9001 certificated. A way, that has cost us a lot of work, lies behind us. ISO9001 – quality management system. a great concept for something that we often take for granted.
But if you have to fulfill a lot of requirements to achieve the certification, you realise, that even if many things seem self-evident, we live them superficially. Many details are not documentated orderly and often the procedure of handling a process depends on the person and not on clear guidelines. But a certification demands exactly this: definition of guidelines and thus the automatically “remember” or “will remember” has to be transformed in clear specifications to depend less from coincidence and the memory of the employees.
Protronic had a great help in the fight against the paragraphs of the standards. MAGENO MMS – an online programm, which combines all essential points of the standard. This results in a guideline for creation of all the necessary documents and steps and subsequently it contains the automatic reminder to keep things up to date. Automatically, the responsible employee receives audit questions. An internal controlling provides information of the cooperation of every member and the processing progress at any time. Due maintenances and updates will be reminded automatically.
Using this system for an industrial company for the fisrt time, not everything went smoothly. Not everything worked perfectly straight off. And yet, the program was a big help, to transform the dry subject of the ISO standard – displayed in a book of 400 pages – in practical actions.
Many new impulses to organise working processes more structured and clearly are the result of impulses received during certification. Many of them will improve the quality and this quality will be easily comprehensible and retraceable. With all the work we put in it, which didnt had a direct influence on the outgoing invoice, a lot of impulses and effects for reorganisation and controlling have emerged and will pay off in the long therm.
The first step has been taken but now we still have a long way to go to fill this certification with life.
